Welcome to Made by Monty

Hello there! I’m Monty — I run a cosy little workshop at the bottom of our garden, where I keep a close eye on my human, Thomas (a qualified Product Design Teacher, no less!) as we craft beautiful, personalised wooden gifts together.

Every piece gets my full inspection before it leaves the bench — nothing gets past me without my official paw print of approval.

When I’m not supervising, you’ll find me welcoming visitors to our courses, or snoozing under the workbench. At Made by Monty, we put love, laughter, and a bit of sawdust into everything we make — and we wouldn’t have it any other way

About Us

This is my Human, Thomas, who’s spent the last 10 years as a Product Design teacher, guiding hundreds of students in bringing their creative ideas to life. Now, he’s set up a little workshop in our garden—where I like to snooze or watch while he saws and sands

Having decided to start handcrafting personalised gifts for fellow pet lovers, we often spend evenings in the workshop. With me, Monty, as his Chief Product Tester, every piece gets the paw of approval before it heads out the door!

Every Made by Monty piece can be personalised to suit you, your pet, or someone special. Whether it's a name, date, custom message, or a design that celebrates your furry friend, we’ll work to make sure your item is truly one-of-a-kind. Just pop your details into the personalisation box when ordering, and human and I will get to work on your product with a paw-sonal touch!

Courses

Coming Soon! If you want to get crafty with a personal twist? Our hands-on courses are the perfect way to learn new skills and create something truly special. Hosted by our founder — a qualified Product Design Teacher — and supervised by Monty himself, these fun and relaxed workshops guide you through the process of making your own laser-engraved or hand-finished wooden item. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, planning a unique date, or just fancy a creative day out, our courses are designed to be friendly, beginner-welcoming, and full of charm. Gift vouchers are also available, making the experience a paw-some present for someone who loves to make and create!
